Originated by the late pro tier Bob "Tight Lines" DeLemos of Redwood City, California. Not a shred of burlap, but that's alright. During five weeks in 1987, 297 Trinity River steelhead up to 12.4 lbs (31 inches) thought it was "steelhead candy!" Use size 6 during low water. |

| INSTRUCTIONS: |
- Flatten hook barb, hone point. Leave head space, Wrap to slightly past bend. Tie in gold tinsel. Wrap tag to bend, tie off, clip excess tinsel. Tie in tail barbs. Wrap shank with ten turns of lead wire then secure with tying thread.
- Tie in hackle feather, concave side down, tip to rear. Tie in length of body yarn; half-hitch. Advance thread to head space. Wrap yarn body, tie off at head space and clip excess.

- Palmer hackle forward three turns along body.

- Fully spin balance of hackle at head space. Tie off, trim excess. Do not trim barbs short. Form small head, whip finish and clip thread. Cement. If base of spun hackle collar is not truly black, dye with Pantone marker leaving barb tips light colored.
