Originated by Allan Rohrer of Santa Ana, Calif. The leech yarn used by Allan was stocked by Fur, Feathers & Fly Shop in Rexford, Idaho. For this fly, use a sinking line and slow retrieve. | INSTRUCTIONS: |
- Hone point, flatten barb. Start at hook eye (on standard hook leave head space); wrap to bend. Tie in tail. Tie in Flashabou. With lead wire, weight front 1/3 of body length only; secure lead wraps. Return thread to tail.

- Wrap Flashabou tag, do not trim excess Flashabou. Tie in leech yarn. Wrap Flashabou underbody forward to cover lead wraps, tie off, trim excess.

- Wrap yarn body; tie off and trim excess.
- With dubbing needle, pick out body yarn fibers sufficient enough to reveal underbody. Tie in hackle, concave side up, tip forward.

- Spin hackle two to three turns, tie off. Wrap back on spun barbs slighly wet-style. Form head, whip finish, clip thread. Lacquer head and exposed thread-wrapped shank.
